London Day One

Hey Guys,

As you may know if you read my 'vacation plans' post I went to London this week. I thought it would be fun to tell you all about my trip and my three days I spend there, it's my fifth time in London but I still love every single minute I'm there.
I arrived in London around 9am at the St Pancras station with my very good friend Lisa. Our hotel (Howard Winchester) was very close to the station so we could easily walk to it. We weren't able to go into our room because it was too early but the lady at the check-in told us it was absolutely no problem to leave our luggage in the breakfastroom. We did and then took off to the subway. As a 'tourist' I would highly recommend taking a 'off peak day travel card' it was only £7,30 and we could take the subway all day long from 9,30am (hint the off peak). We took the subway to Camden town so we could visit Camden Market.

When we saw the big sign with Camden Market on (as you can see on the pictures) we thought that was it. After only 10 minutes we had seen the whole market so we were a bit dissapointed because everyone braves with the 'BIG' Camden market. But we still decided to walk down the street to visit the other shops, suddenly we saw another market with everything you could almost think of, all kinds of food, clothing, tea, jewelry etc. Then we realised that's probably the real Camden Market everybody is talking about. I would highly recommend checking it out.

In one of the stalls we found some delicious chinees food, it's the world's best chinees food I've ever tasted!

After Camden Market we took the Metro to the British Museum but we only stayed there for around 5 full minutes because I already had seen a lot the previous years that I went, so then we went to Covent Garden. There were some lovely little shops such as Lush, Chanel makeup, L'occitane etc. And we also enjoyed a starbucks.

After walking around in Covent Garden we went back to our hotel to drop our shopping bags and go into our room. And I have to admit we were a bit dissapointed in our room, it wasn't very clean and also the bathroom was very tiny and not at all hygienic (especially the shower) I'm not an expert but I think there wasmold above the shower which is pretty gross. Oh well, we only stayed for 2 nights so I didn't really needed to shower because I wouldn't wanted to shower in such circumstances. When we were ready we took the subway to Harrods, we took a look at the handbags, shoes and nightclothes and after that we searched for a affordable restaurant.

My goatcheese salad was a bit dissapointing, the goatcheese itself tasted a little funny and was very small. My friends pasta carbonara on the other hand was very good! After that we shopt a little, we went to topshop and Ted Baker and then we went back to the hotel to go to bed because I were already awake from 4am.

Thanks for Reading <3

X Gill
