No more bad food | Are you in?

Hey Guys,

So my family and I decided to stop eating candy, crisps, chocolate and cookies for over a month. I know it's fast time right now, but it's actually kind of coincidence that we started together with the fasttime. Normally we stop eating 'bad' food before Chirstmas but this year we decided to do it after.
So What are we going to do?

Were're not going to eat any 'bad' things mostly candy, chocolate, crisps and cookies. So bad things you eat between your meals. Instead you can eat fruit, healthy mueslibars, nuts etc.
I've also decided not to drink any soda, only water and fruit juice is allowed.
And I'll try not to eat junk food which will be pretty hard since I live in a dorm, so I won't be too strict on that one. But I really want to complete the first two 'resolutions'.
Me and my dad came to an agreement that we can stop for one week in between the 40 days. We did this because my parents are going on holiday and everyone eats bad on holiday AND because the 27th of march is my Birthday, and who wants to eat an apple on their Birthday? I'm sure I don't!

So If you want to do this, you can do it with us! We can talk and nag about how difficult it is, and jump from joy when we have the 'break' within the 40 days! So who's in? Let me know via twitter, facebook or the comment section if you think this is a great start for a healthier life and if you want to take part!! This starts today, but you can start tomorrow if you want too! And it end on Easter (20th of April)

I'll be so proud of myself and you guys if we can do this!  I love eating crisps, chocolate and cookies, so if I succeed not eating that for 40 days it will be a great accomplishment.

My Mulberry Alexa

Hey Guys,

Okay, you probably all think I've won the lottery, and I can't even believe it myself, but I've bought another Mulberry! I know I've just purchased the Mulberry Bayswater Satchel around two months ago, but I couldn't leave this baby in store. For the record, sadly I haven't won the lottery.

I went to a store in Bruges, called Domenique Meire, where I knew they sold Mulberry. I was looking for the dome rivet continental wallet but they didn't stock that, meanwhile I saw a little 'sale' rack with Mulberry bags at the end of the store. And it was love at first sight! A gorgeous Mulberry Alexa for less than half price! I took a look at it, but than said no to myself! How could I justify purchasing two Mulberry handbags in 2 months? So I walked away with pain in my heart. A week later I was still thinking about the bag, and what a 'bargain' it is. You'll never find a half priced bag on their official site! So I went back and bought it! I have to admit to you girls that I'm totally not rich and that I'll have to save half of my working money every months till July to pay myself back, since I've borrowed the money from my own bank account, but hey, it was totally worth it. I do want to make clear I still save half of my working money every months for my 'future' life! I think it's very important if you like designer or just even shopping in general, that you still save a certain amount for the future. Because spending every cent is just not the way to go.

So here is my gorgeous baby
I don't know exactly which size it is, but I guess it's the regular 'medium' size. It has a gorgeous 'fur-y' look, but their is actually no fur going on, it's all in the leather, if you take a closer look, you can even see subtle sparkle in the leather (which you can see in the third picture below). This certain print is 'limited edition' according to the sale assistant.
The bag comes with a shoulder stap which I'll probably use most of the time. You can also carry it with the top handle, I do think it'll be hard to carry it in the crook of your arm since the top handle is quite small. And as you can see the Mulberry logo has been stamped in a lot of the hardware.
As you can see the bag closes with the postman's lock and two clasps. The interior is lined and the bag has two inside pockets, you have the main compartment, a zipper pocket and a little 'phone' pocket (picture above).
This bag is bigger than my Bayswater satchel so more like an everyday kind of bag, you can fit an umbrella, water bottle, small makeup bag etc. The last two pictures make the bag look a bit more yellow, but the pictures before that are a perfect resemblance of what the bag looks like! I absolutely adore this bag and will use it a lot! If I've used it for a couple of months I'll do a review on it telling you what I like and don't like about it. The sales assistant already told me this particular leather is very durable and doesn't need a lot of treatment in contrast with my bayswater satchel which is very vulnerable and needs a lot of care.

Thank you so much for reading, any questions? Feel free to comment or email me.
Please follow if you liked it.

My London Story | Day Three and Four

Hey Guys,

Here's part two of my London Story, click here if you want to read part one first. In part one I tell you all about my first two days, in this part I'll talk about my last 2 days, about the food we've aten, places we've visited and more!

Day Three | Feb 5

So on day three there was a tube strike, luckily I already knew that so I could prepare for it. After having breakfast in our hotel we left for King's road, with our umbrellas and street map ready. The first two days we had great weather with a bit of sun, but the third day was very windy and rainy, not the perfect circumstances to look on your map trying to find the way making sure it doesn't get blown away or rained on. King's road wasn't too far from our hotel (about a 15 min walk). We shopped a bit and experienced the wonderful world of Anthropologie! What a wonderful store and concept! Amazing smelling candles, beautiful clothes and stunning home decor in one store, what do you need more? Sadly we didn't take any pictures of it, but if you live near to an anthropologie definitely go take a look! Around noon we went to the old dutch pancake house on recommendation of my friend Lizzie. The food was delicious, just go there and try, it's totally worth it.
With a filled belly we left King's Road to walk to Harrods, Both being fashion students we're a great fan of designer items and what better place to look at them than Harrods?
We took a look at Mulberry, YSL, Rebecca Minkoff, Proenza Schouler, Stella Mccartney etc. Than we walked to sloan street, THE place to be for Designer stores. Normally we would be scared to enter those stores but funny enough, I'd just bought a protecter spray from Mulberry for my handbag, so I had a Mulberry shopbag in my hands. Weird enough the sales assistants were a lot nicer to us because of that bag so we entered stores like Louis Vuitton, Prada, Hermès and Tiffany & Co.
After walking all day we went back to our hotel to get some rest, an hour later we left again to get dinner. Since we had such a nice dinner in Shakespeare we went there again! And guess what we got, yess indeed, the big ben burger as always! After a fabulous dinner we went back to our hotel to get a good night rest, sadly it was the last night of our trip already.

Day Four | Feb 6
The last day of our trip, we woke up and packed, there wasn't enough space in my luggage to put all of my new things in so I had to stuff some shoppingbags. We checked out but could leave our luggage in the hotel. The tube strike was still going on so we had to do everything by foot again. First stop was Buckingham palace
Next was National Gallery, we both wanted to do a museum and my friend had seen some paintings in class so she was thrilled to see them in real life.
(trafalgar square)
After walking around in the museum we went for a drink in a street near to trafalgar square, when that was done we walked a bit and suddenly saw the M&M store! Of course we had to go in there, and I found a huge bag with a zipper perfect to fit all of my clothes I couldn't fit in my luggage.
After a walk in the M&M store we went to the Pret a manger to get a sandwich and than we went back to our hotel. We wanted to leave early because we weren't sure if the tube to Kings Cross was working and if not we had to take a bus. Luckily the tube to Kings Cross Station was okay so we were about two hours early in the station! We ate some cake (that was way too expensive) and than checked in to get to the eurostar, sadly that was the end of a wonderful trip that gave us both great memories.
I'll be back soon, London, I'll be back!
